The Old Bali Blog « Australian surfer Nicholas Langan facing four years in Bali prison for smoking marijuana joint

26 June 2015: A 25-year-old Australian tourist - surfer Nicholas Langan - faces four years in jail after being caught smoking a marijuana joint with his driver in South Bali.

Prosecutors at Denpasar's District Court also recommended that his Indonesian driver - the supplier of the drug - also serve four years behind bars at Kerobokan Prison.

Langan, who was arrested on 26 January 2015, is due to be sentenced soon.

Save the partying 'till after you get home.

Indonesia is never the place to do drugs, and President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has narcotics in his foresights.
